We probably shouldn't be trusted with a German national holiday.
But on Saturday 3rd October, we're celebrating German Unity Day the only way we know how: with plenty of Champagne, German sparkling wine, oysters and a 4 course dinner.
For one night only, we're joined by our good friend and renowned German wine and oyster sommelier Nils Lackner for a special evening that brings together two things Portfolio loves most: exceptional bottles and bringing people together around the table.
Alongside the Portfolio team, Nils will lead guests through a carefully selected line up of Champagne and German sparkling wines, paired with a four course German-inspired menu created by Julian Pizer.
Think German cellar party meets Portfolio.
Beer barrels on the bar. Bottles popping. Great food. Great wine. Plenty of conversation. Nils and Cameron attempting to share some useful knowledge amongst it all.
And because it falls on German Unity Day, it would feel wrong not to embrace a little Oktoberfest spirit along the way.
Lederhosen may be present but aren’t required!!!
